Founded in Chicago in 2002, the Angel Dance Troupe is noted for its lively interpretations of traditional Chinese folk dance. Between 2002 and 2004, the Angel Dance Troupe brought to stage many grand-scale Chinese artistic performances in Chicago, including the Greater Chicago Chinese Spring Festival Gala, National Day Celebration sponsored by Chinese Consulate General in Chicago, and the Evening-party “Fengcheng Jinyue, Huaxia Jinqiu (Beautiful Music of Fengcheng, Golden Autumn of China)” sponsored by China Stars Artistic Group. In addition, the Angel Dance Troupe offered frequent and exclusive performances at the Chicago Children’s Museum.
Now based in Boston, Massachusetts, the Angel Dance Troupe consists of over thirty young dancers, Chinese cultural ambassadors who perform regularly throughout New England, bringing to audiences the ancient and ethnic traditions of Chinese dance.
