Angel Performance Art
Established in 2004, the Angel Performance Art (APA) Inc. first opened its doors to Greater Chicago as a dance academy dedicated to passing on the rich traditions of Chinese performance art. At the end of 2004, Angel Performance Art was relocated to Boston and continues to provide a dance curriculum for those interested in learning authentic Chinese Dance as an art form. Through dance education and performance, our aim is threefold:
To preserve the traditional Chinese art and culture in America within the Chinese community and beyond.
Our core program offers structured training in classical, contemporary, ethnic, and folk Chinese dance for students of all ages and abilities, providing workshops and classes, lectures and demonstrations conducted by Artistic Director and Principal instructor, Ke Ke, and distinguished visiting staff.
To unveil the beauty of Chinese dance, rooted in the colorful cultures of China’s 56 ethnic groups.
Besides providing dance education, Angel Performance Art also offers performances in Greater Boston through Angel Dance Troupe to disseminate Chinese culture and bring Chinese performance art to the public.
To foster understanding and friendship between Chinese and American people through art and culture exchanges.
Angel performance Art is actively engaged in organizing large scale performances aimed at uniting diverse Chinese groups with an American audience. In addition, we have launched a new program slated to bring renowned artists from China here to America to participate in performances scheduled in Boston and other major US cities.
